Approaching Alice Town harbour on North Bimini Island
North and South Bimini are the two
largest islands in the Bimini chain, and they lie just 50 miles east of
Miami.
It is rumoured that the lost continent of
Atlantis is located just off the shores of Bimini, a theory supported by
some of the most wondrous dive sites, and that south Bimini is also the site
of Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth.
The waters around Bimini are better known for big
game fishing and Hemmingway often called Bimini his home.
